Native to Central and Southern Europe to Ukraine, this herbaceous plant grows up to 1 meter tall. Resembling cow parsley, it displays apple-scented, finely divided and aromatic foliage, giving it a fern-like appearance. In the months of May and June, it produces attractive umbels of small white flowers. A popular cultivar of Chaerophyllum hirsutum called 'Roseum' is widely grown for its delicate and fragrant lilac-pink flowers. This perennial is a charming addition to any garden, adding grace and beauty with its ornamental features.
